Air Quality Updates at MPMS

air quality updates:

GCPS is committed the safety or our students and staff.  Regularly scheduled air quality tests are conducted during the warm and humid seasons to alert us of the possibility of mold or other airborne irritants.  All official test results are posted here.

On July 30, 2018, LRC laboratories conducted air quality tests at the MPMS campus.  All results indicated a normal indoor fungal ecology.  Below are links to the official reports and individual data for all samples taken.

Granville County Public Schools is committed to the safety and well-being of its students and staff.  All school facilities are being tested for air quality by an independent, certified laboratory.  On October 25, 2017, 17 random air samples were taken throughout the Mary Potter Middle School campus.  The results showed a normal indoor air fungal ecology in all areas of the school except for samples taken in the cafeteria.  The official reports are posted below which recommended follow-up testing in the cafeteria only.

At this time, it has NOT been recommended that staff or students be removed from the cafeteria area.   Any potential remediation work will be coordinated to avoid any unhealthy exposure to mold spores in the school.
